The project <\/span>\u201cTerrae Brasilis\u201d<\/span><\/i> was conceived under the theme of CASACOR\u2019s 2024 campaign, <\/span>\u201cDe presente, o agora\u201d<\/span><\/i>. As curator Livia Pedreira explains, the idea is to invite professionals to use their creativity to respond to the complexity of our times while reflecting on the impact of every choice and action within architectural projects, particularly in the way we live.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAmong all the spaces I\u2019ve created for CASACOR, my favorite is the most recent one, <\/span>Terrae Brasilis<\/span><\/i>, which celebrates Brazilian roots and culture in both a poetic and tangible way. The combination of innovative design, sustainable materials, and Brazilian art makes this project a particularly special milestone in my career,\u201d says Fernanda Marques.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Spanning 160m\u00b2, the space invites visitors on a sensory journey that blends art, sustainability, and appreciation of the present moment. High-quality materials, such as those provided by Hunter Douglas, were chosen to create rich textures and a sophisticated atmosphere, with highlights including the translucent wall, perforated metal, Miniwave, and vaulted slatted panels.<\/span><\/p>\n

The setting is further defined by a curated selection of furniture, featuring exclusive designs by Fernanda Marques Arquitetura including the <\/span>Landscape<\/span><\/i> sofa and <\/span>Maxx<\/span><\/i> armchairs. These pieces add elegance and a distinctive contemporary aesthetic to the space.<\/span><\/p>\n

All these decisions reflect not only aesthetic priorities but also a strong environmental commitment. Sustainability permeates every aspect of the project, from the choice of materials to the layout of the space.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

A space that celebrates diversity<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>

The living room, carefully designed, serves as the epicenter of the environment. Visitors are immersed in an atmosphere that celebrates diversity and the talent of artists displayed on each wall. The space is dynamic and inviting, with a bar that adds a touch of sophistication and encourages social interaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The wooden vault, developed in collaboration with Hunter Douglas, goes beyond being an architectural element, it stands as a symbol of unity and transcendence. Its imposing presence not only defines the space visually but also invites visitors to reflect on the present moment and reconnect with their own essence. The winter garden, seamlessly integrated into space, offers a serene pause from the rush of daily life. Surrounded by lush greenery, visitors are reminded of the importance of nurturing not only their senses but also the environment around them.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Fernanda, the artworks displayed were selected based on themes that complement the overall aesthetic of the project, adding layers of meaning and visual richness. The result is a space that impresses visually while also inviting contemplation and relaxation, blending carefully curated design elements to create a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith this, I intend to leave a legacy of innovation, sustainability, and respect for cultural roots. I want to inspire future generations of architects to adopt a multidisciplinary approach and to value both the past and the present in their work. My goal is to create spaces that meet functional needs, promote well-being, and celebrate the rich cultural fabric of our country,\u201d concludes the architect.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
