Designed to embrace natural light, Casa Trancoso is bathed in the glow of the Bahian sun, enhancing textures and highlighting the beauty of the chosen materials. Wood takes center stage in this masterpiece, gracing floors, walls, and ceilings, and creating a warm atmosphere that seamlessly connects the indoors with the outdoors.

A mezzanine overlooks a grand living room illuminated by a double-height ceiling, serving as the true focal point of the house. The interior boasts a meticulously curated selection of furniture, complementing the clean, continuous lines of the architectural design. “The dialogue between furniture and architecture is essential to creating a harmonious composition. Each piece was chosen to respect the linearity and spaciousness of the interiors, providing balance and enhancing the lush surroundings,” explains Fernanda Marques.

Expansive windows frame the stunning Trancoso landscape, which becomes the visual centerpiece of the home. The local flora, thoughtfully integrated into the design, enriches the exterior while gently blending into the interior spaces, creating a natural and welcoming transition from the house’s entrance.

In the garden, an elongated pool intentionally merges with the landscape, framed by towering coconut trees and native vegetation. “Designing Casa Trancoso was like translating the spirit of Bahia, capturing its essence in an architecture where sophistication and simplicity walk hand in hand,” reflects Fernanda Marques.
