The Maxx stool was designed to go beyond the role of simple support. With a contemporary design, it brings warmth and personality to the home’s social spaces — from integrated kitchens and living areas to islands, high tables, and gathering spots where the presence of a “friendly” piece makes all the difference. Soft yet stable, it’s part of the new furniture collection created by architect and designer Fernanda Marques for Breton.
Originally conceived for the brand’s showcase at its Dubai showroom in the United Arab Emirates, the Maxx quickly gained autonomy. Its design blends form and comfort with rare ease. “Every curve was crafted to follow the body and deliver exceptional comfort, even in a counter-height stool. It’s something you don’t just see — you feel,” explains Fernanda.
The upholstery fabric also plays a key role in the final experience. Along with its organic lines and generous cushioning, the material choice was made with a strong sensory focus. “I wanted something that would catch the eye but also invite touch, reinforcing that sense of absolute comfort,” the designer notes.
