iF DESIGN AWARD: Reconhecendo o futuro do design

My journey with the iF began in 2018, when I received my first red seal with the Eretz project. Since then, our relationship with the award has grown stronger, and now being on the other side of the process—evaluating interior design was a unique opportunity to gain an even deeper understanding of the meticulous and detailed perspective that guides this selection.

Sobre o iF Design Awards

I believe in the power of design as a tool for transformation and innovation, and I see the iF DESIGN AWARD as a vital platform for giving visibility to projects and professionals who share these values. Created in 1953, the award emerged during a time of restructuring in Germany and has since become a global seal of excellence, reinforcing the importance of design in society.

Projects are evaluated based on five fundamental criteria, which reflect the most pressing issues of our time:

  • Idea: Does the design fulfill its purpose and have relevance?
  • Form: How does the project engage with its audience, and how do its aesthetics and execution contribute to its identity?
  • Function: Is it intuitive, efficient, and does it truly enhance the user experience?
  • Differentiation: Are innovation and brand identity present in the concept?
  • Sustainability: Does the project consider its social and environmental impact?

Over the decades, the iF jury has included some of the most renowned names in global design, such as Dieter Rams, Richard Sapper, Franco Clivio, and Paola Picasso. Now, being alongside such brilliant minds and contributing to recognizing talents who are shaping the future of the industry is a milestone in my professional journey.
