One of the most traditional clubs paulistanoyes, or Paulistano, in the Jardins neighborhood, and also the one that offers one of the most spectacular vistas of the city, especially when viewed from the large windows of this duplex.

“Enjoying the landscape as much as possible, and, as far as possible, bringing it indoors” was one of my client’s demands, says architect Fernanda Marques, who designed this 350 m2 apartment, home to a single father , surf lover, and his 3 children.

“Those who come to me most of the time have sophistication as their main motivation. In this case, however, there is one more thing. There is more informality”, considers Fernanda who, in this sense, opted for maximum integration between all environments.

The result of a true retrofit operation, little of the current distribution resembles the original of the property. Today, the suites and home kids are located in the most secluded part of the apartment. In the social area, kitchen, gourmet space, living room and home theater.

From the point of vista aesthetic, light and soft and permanent atmosphere. “My client wanted something clean, that left the space light. So I dedicated myself diligently to searching for vintage pieces and integrating them with more contemporary ones”, explains the architect.

But let no one expect from this project, however, anything less than a legitimate Fernanda Marques. There, as in his other works, the harmony with art is maintained and gains defined contours in works by Tomie Ohtake, Amilcar de Castro and Claudio Solferini.

As well as the passion for design, manifested in the Infinito benches, made of stainless steel, which bear the architect’s signature and appear in counterpoint with the wood that covers the entire walls of the closet. “I like playing opposites. The contrast between natural and industrial, cold and hot. Nothing more current”, she summarizes.
